Spring Sounds International Music Festival
…music, love, Shakespeare, literature, poetry and food… it’s the complete works!!
Friday 1 - Monday 4 May 2009

Following the tremendous success of last year’s inaugural festival we are delighted to present Spring Sounds 2009 in the beauitiful setting of Stratford-upon-Avon

Tasmin Little, Martin Roscoe, Orchestra of the Swan and the Smetana Trio perform outstanding concerts celebrating the 200th anniversary of the death of Haydn and the birth of Mendelssohn. Shakespeare is included with music from a Midsummer Night’s Dream and an organ recital from Holy Trinity Church, his final resting place and we celebrate the present with three world premieres.

Afternoon tea with author Helen Fry, morning coffee with Tasmin and David Curtis, readings from RSC actors, film, family workshops, Festival Service at Holy Trinity followed by Festival Sunday Lunch at the Alveston Manor Hotel, workshops and performances at Compton Verney Art Gallery and to round it off a Cabaret Evening with ‘Swan Unbuttoned’.

Tickets will be on sale and full programme details available on 16 February 2009. To join our mailing list please click here.
